Key accountabilities:
- Create and execute compeling Windows Mobile programs that
drive growth of the Windows Mobile category of phones and
solutions. - Ensure alignment between local Windows Mobile channel programs
and Microsoft’s overall mobility strategy. - Manage Integrated (Windows Mobile – Windows Client – Online)
programs rollouts with clear deliverables, budget allocations, ROI
metrics, and timely execution. - Ensure alignment between Windows Mobile programs and other
C&O programs (Windows Client and Online). - Drive marketing engagement with key regional retailers,
distributors and OEMs. - Provide regular reporting on market performance and maintain
relevant business scorecards. - Manage the design, production, and execution of
Microsoft-originated marketing material for in-country adaptation
or partner use. - Participate in cross-group virtual teams for major phone
launches and to integrate local channel marketing with broader
marketing campaigns. - Collaborate with BG leads and field organizations to advance
Microsoft’s global mobility initiatives. - Act as the mobility subject-matter-expert and advocate for your
local market within Microsoft. - Collaborate with your organizational peers world-wide to share
best-practices and solve cross-country issues.
Key success criteria:
- Achievement of Windows Mobile device volume targets.
- Successful creation and execution of local Windows Mobile
marketing plan. - Successful delivery of programs and initiatives across the
region that address the Windows Mobile business needs through
collaboration with internal groups, external retailers and device
makers. - Negotiate with and gain commitments from the key players in the
supply chain, including: OEM’s, distributors, key retailers and
Mobile Operators. - Promotion and local adaption of the Windows Mobile value
propositions. - Excellent collaboration with BG leads, EMEA TimeZone Team, MCB
Corp, E&D, OSB, and SMS&P. - Proper management of marketing budget.
Essential Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in consumer (preferable) or channel
marketing with a proven track record of working with
partners. BS or BA in Business or Marketing with a MBA is
preferred. - A strong understanding of the mobile consumer channels – Mobile
Operator, distributor and OEM. - Broad knowledge of the wireless and telecommunications industry
and the mobile retail marketplace. - Ability to develop strong external partner relationships from
Manager to Senior Executive levels across multiple marketing
disciplines. - Technical aptitude necessary to achieve proficiency with and be
an advocate for Windows Mobile devices.
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Ability to execute world class marketing campaigns across
multiple countries, including tracking and reviewing campaign
effectiveness. - Excellent presentation and product demonstrations skills.
- Ability to work to a budget and effectively manage marketing
funds. - The energy and a passionate desire to positively impact
customers. - Willingness to represent Microsoft with the highest degree of
professionalism.
