IT perational Analyst – Russia

REPORTS TO: IT Operational Manager– Russia
LOCATION: Moscow

Short requirements list: high education (technical, computer science, math), fluent english, experience in IT/business analysis in western FMCG company from 1 year

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

  • The main purpose of this position is to assist the IT Operational Manager– Russia in ensuring, in its sphere of responsibility, that Company Russia has the necessary Business Systems to run the business in line with its operational and strategic objectives, and in contributing to direct, lead and support the optimisation of the business processes within the end market.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Operations/ Professional/ Business
  • The IT Operational Analyst – Russia is responsible for identifying business process improvements through deployment of appropriate technology, or procedural changes.
  • Contribute to ensure that the Business Systems needs for his/her country zone or function are clearly defined, understood and agreed.
  • Assist the IT Operational Manager– Russia in ensuring that his/her country zone has the processes, organisation, governance and resources required to deliver its Business Systems needs.
  • Assist the IT Operational Manager– Russia in ensuring that all Business Systems plans for his/her country zone or function are appropriate to the Area’s needs and are aligned to the Area Business Strategy.
  • Management
  • The IT Operational Analyst – Russia is in charge of developing and maintaining the architecture of the
  • business applications for his/her country zone
  • Deliver the Business systems needs for his/her country zone
  • Work with business functions to properly scope, plan, resource and budget project activities, and manage budget at the end market level
  • Work with business function or business units in his/her zones to ensure optimisation of system usage
  • Assist the IT Operational Manager– Russia in working with Internal IT Outsourcing to ensure all business systems services (e.g. development, project management, support, etc) provided to his/her country zone by Internal IT Outsourcing are appropriate, cost effective and meet the needs of his/her country zone or function. This includes in particular collecting information on performance (feedback from customers)
  • Manage process and system changes
  • Leadership
  • The IT Operational Analyst – Russia will contribute to lead the strategic direction of IT Operations
  • Develop the capability within the IT Operations Team across his/her country zone to enable the optimisation of business processes.
  • Act as a “change agent”, leading and promoting change through effective Change Management either through the implementation of new business systems or through enhanced business processes.
  • Provide leadership and direction to other IT Operations personnel
  • Contribute to ensure other IT Operations personnel have the skills and competencies necessary to deliver the business systems needs within his/her country zone or function.
  • Relationship
  • The IT Operational Analyst – Russia should actively participate in the Company Russia Business Services team
  • Assist the IT Operational Manager– Russia in delivering input into global and regional forums, global strategy and organisations
  • Act as a communicator, facilitator and ambassador for the It Operations unit across his/her country zone or function
  • Lead partnership with other functions, identify and manage “key” stakeholders within his/her country zone
  • Innovation
  • The IT Operational Analyst – Russia is also responsible to contribute to identify and communicate trends in the field of IT Operations which could provide opportunities within the company
  • The IT Operational Analyst – Russia eventually should work on optimising synergies at end market level
  • Develop & implement new tools, processes and ways of working
  • Champion usage of infrastructure products
  • Capture and communicate best practices in the end market

  • Control the design of business processes in systems in order to (1) continuously improve (2) reduce
  • complexity of applications and (3) deliver seamless IT services.
  • This will be achieved overtime through increased maturity in project management, reduced/standardised local
  • IT systems, in-place Business Information standards and completed EAS roll-out.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • University Degree or similar level gained through experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar or equivalent sphere
  • English (spoken and written), upper intermediate level
  • Project management skills
  • Acknowledged and proven leadership skills
  • Acknowledged and proven oral and written communication skills
  • Capacity to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Understanding of long term business challenges, and knowledge of Business Services issues (project management, business intelligence, information management, etc.)
  • Well-developed information technology skills an advantage
