Overview
NetCracker’ focus is to deliver the best solutions to the
world-wide reliable public companies, where bid process is a “MUST”
for any purchase or contract.
The Bid Management process is a significant part of the overall
well-defined sales process. The main goal of the Bid Management
process is managing generation of wining proposals to the RFP, RFQ,
RFI received from the potential and existing customers. RFP/Q/I is
a document that an enterprise sends to a vendor inviting the vendor
to submit a bid for hardware, software, services, or any
combination of the three.
The nature of BM process is to plan, manage and track the process
of response to the RFP (Q,I) and organize and communicate with the
bid team which includes departments and individuals within the
company involved in response preparation.
The Bid Manager is the project manager of the bid preparation
project with the aim to win a contract. As a part of the Sales team
Bid Manager is responsible for the successfulness of the BM process
which is mandatory for the whole sales process to be successful and
the contract to be signed.
Requirements:
- Relevant University Degree in IT, Software Development, Telecom
or equivalent education or experience. - Minimum of 5 years in IT/Telecom and 2 years in Bid or Project
Management. Experience in sales support activities / tender support
activities for enterprise level systems (such as ERP, CRM, Billing)
and/or telecom providers. Ambitious pre-sales consultant with the
ambition to evolve to Senior Bid Manager or Account Manager. - Excellent communication skills in verbal and written forms in
Russian and English. - Ability to travel.
Responsibilities:
- Assembling a bid team with the relevant
service/technical/business knowledge required to prepare the
bid. - Management of the bid team of company-wide personnel and
external Partners. - Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid to
ensure that all areas have been covered and that pricing has been
included for all required work. - Opportunity analysis and objective qualification to ensure
resources are focused on the most strategic opportunities. - Arrange all post bid reviews with customers, post contract
award. - Following award, work seamlessly with Program Management and
Account Management to ensure handover is smooth. - Provide input to the bid win strategies, service delivery
approach and commercial propositions. Constructing a compelling
business case, which not only meets the customer’s requirement but
also seeks to differentiate our client from it’s competitors. - Ensuring that a winning bid has been prepared by checking that
the customer’s requirements have been fully addressed, that the
Unique Selling Points are clearly highlighted and that the bid
properly represents the image which our client wishes to
convey. - Achieving a winning bid often involves challenging the initial
approaches proposed. - Maintain dialogue with Solution Architects.
- Bid Campaign management including definition of customer
purchasing strategies and business drivers. - Co-ordinate pricing activity with the Sales Executives,
Solution Architects, and finance for Large Volume and Major Bid
activities. - Take responsibility for win:loss ratio statistics and publish
data. - Be fully conversant with NetCracker Portfolio.
